This clock is a wonderful candidate for light restoration or can be enjoyed exactly as it sits. Please note the following flaws:
- Missing Sword: The sword originally held in the rider's right hand has broken off and is missing.
- Missing Rear Glass: The round glass window for the rear brass access door is missing (easily replaced by a clocksmith or glass cutter).
- Horse Bit Strap: One side of the fine horse bit chain/strap has broken loose from its anchor point but remains attached to the clock and is an easy fix.
- Please study the high-resolution photos carefully to evaluate the condition of the two-tone patina and gilding.
- Head Plume: a small threaded post is on top of his head, where some type of decoration was obviously attached more than likely, some type of feather plume.
